Temptations: In the Frame

The map above was given to us as a ‘new home’ present by my mother when we moved into our apartment. It shows the area where we live circa 1901 and is a delight to pour over, spotting all the hidden treasures which were a part of the area during this time. It’s amazing to think that the town which is now full of charity shops, coffee shops and cheesy nightclubs; was once a bustling centre of industry, incorporating glass works, breweries and leather and parchment works.

I really want to frame this and hang it in our otherwise minimalist hallway. But, like so many, other things this will have to wait until I am a Mrs. At the moment everything ‘wedding’ takes priority, whilst decorating our love nest will be a project for 2012.
