It’s beginning to look a lot like christmas

Sunday was a relaxing (and cheap day) spent decorating the apartment in preparation for this months festivities.

A blank canvas

Each year I mean to go classy. Perhaps colour coordinating all of the decorations, or hand making them from natural materials for that rustic minimalist look. This, of course, never happens which is why our lounge and kitchen look as though christmas has walked into our apartment and, well, chucked up!

Ta - da!

Of course, spending time in the nice warm sanctity of home decorating the tree, drinking copious amounts of Bailey’s and eating lots of yummy food (Eggs Benedict for lunch, roast chicken dinner for tea) meant that I couldn’t go on any more guilt ridden spending splurges – result!

Although I think with the amount of Chrimble decorations we’ve purchased this year, putting up the tree(s) can hardly be classed as a cost saving exercise.

Just a few of our new purchases…
